Kriyas in spirituality

While the first 4 basic Kriyas primarily deal with self-development, the remaining 8 advanced kriyas mentioned below (falling under the "Way to Liberation" classes) are for your development in the spiritual realm.

// Jeeva Kriya

In the basic kriyas, you are introduced to the concept of the mind. But here, you learn about thought processes and breathing techniques to understand the concept of the soul.

// Samyama

It involves thought processes and breathing techniques to understand the importance of each soul in the universe. The student will understand that each soul is a replica of every other soul, and that all souls are part of divinity.

// Sathya Kriya

It involves thought processes, breathing techniques and meditation to realize the state of death and the limitations of the body.

// Nithya Kriya

It involves thought processes, breathing techniques and meditation to understand the state of the soul after death. The student is able to stay in a meditative state (thoughtless but conscious state) for longer durations such as 2 hours or more.

// Nirguna Kriya

It involves meditation where the student does not generate any thoughts. The mind of the student stays absolutely clear, calm and silent.

// Amritha Kriya

In this state of meditation, one stays in long periods of thoughtlessness where basic needs like food and sleep are reduced drastically.

// Samadhi Kriya

In this state of meditation the student stays in longer periods of Amritha Kriya where even basic body needs such as food, sleep, etc, are not required.

// Purna Kriya

The state where the soul is united with divinity inorder to experience everlasting happiness.
